About Me

I am a student at Fort Hayes Career Center learning how to be a photographer. I started an interest in cameras since I was at least 4 years old on nature walks, using a simple camera anyone could use. To me, photography is a way to capture everything around you that could be beautiful but simply isn’t given a second glance due to the desensitization of seeing things everyday. For my 2021-2022 personal project, I focused on how my life is now versus how it was during my childhood, along with how my life is now in general. For my 2022-2023 Personal Project I am focusing on the journey to Mount Vernon when I go to see my cousin. I wanted to incorporate negative space to help emphasize the subject. I also wanted to add simplicity to capture nature in the places I go; from the urban/city scene to more country scenes. A lot from my finished portfolio is from very specific feelings to me in the recent parts of my life and are from a very specific section of my life. I want viewers to think of their own experiences in their life and to think of how life can be the same but also very different.
